Meet Harry, the Great Blue Heron

Yes, I name them

And Oscar, an Osprey

This is Sassy

And Patsy

Clover, the Plover

Corny, I know

The twin Ibis, Laura and Maura

The beach I visit is quite isolated

So I spend a great deal of time

With these birds that I love

So In Love

Can one fall in love

With a color they've always known?

Familiar, unappealing to me

Seen with new eyes

A new love

Is mine

So Much to Learn

I'm a macro kind of girl

I love color and detail
And
 Like the heron

Introverted and shy
 I enjoy
One-on-one
Up close and personal
In relationships and shooting
But I'm trying
So much to learn...

In the sub-tropics

Vivid pockets of color

And new flowers to capture

All too much to gather in one day

Meant to be savored

The one I want to get close to is beyond my reach

My beloved plumeria

And its intoxicating fragrance...

Siesta

We are in sunny Florida

Where is not only sunny but hot & humid

This little guy basks in the sunny warmth to rest

While we escape

To the cool air conditioned condo

For our afternoon siesta

Captivating

This is the life

I'd love to live every day

But

I'll be happy to live it just for today

Glorious Spring

Filled with so much lovliness

I hardly blogged through it

Because I was so captivated by its beauty

Wandering and shooting

with a burning desire to capture it all

My family believes me to have gone off the deep end

Truth be told

I've never been better

What a glorious spring!
